• Yearbooks are on sale this week! Contact the main office for information regarding purchasing a copy for your student.

Tuesday
• There will be a PTO Carnival committee meeting in the Media Center at 6:00 PM.
• There will be a PTO meeting in the Media Center at 6:30 PM.
• There is a district-wide kindergarten orientation at Jefferson Middle School this evening. Orientations are schedule for 4:30 and 6:30 PM. There will be additional sessions on February 16 at Central Middle School.

Thursday
• Today is Patriotism Day! Wear red, white, and blue to show your Eastlawn spirit!

Friday
• No school – professional development

The Eastlawn carnival will be held Friday, March 12, between 5:30 and 8:30 PM. The PTO has decided on a cruise ship theme for this year – “Welcome Aboard!” We encourage Longview (and other MPS) families to join us!

Every year, the Midland Area Community Foundation sponsors the Gerstacker Proficiency Awards. If you feel you know someone that deserves such an honor, you may view the information and criteria here: .pdf

If your child, or if you know of a child in your neighborhood, who will be eligible to enter Kindergarten in the fall, please contact the school. There will be information sessions for parents on Tuesday, February 9 at Jefferson Middle School in the cafeteria, and again on Tuesday, February 16 at Central Middle School in the cafeteria, at 4:30 pm and at 6:30 pm. Information on schools of choice, curriculum and registration will be given, as well as information on open houses for parents and children.

When you come to the information session, please bring your child’s: Birth Certificate, Immunization record, Vision & Hearing test results and 1 proof of residency (utility bill, purchase agreement, rental or lease agreement, mortgage or rent receipt or property tax statement).
